Visions: Earth's Elements in Bird & Nature Photography

Keynote Presentation by Kevin Karlson

Everyone has visions, and some of these have the power to transform our lives. This visual and musical program contains an exciting collection of bird and nature images that reflect the personal visions of birds and nature as perceived through the camera lens by eleven contributing photographers. These images are themed to the elements of the planet: earth, fire, air and water, and include some of the finest action and behavioral photographs available, as well as moody and engaging nature photos. The unique theme and musical interludes in this program will capture your fancy and take you on a riveting visual ride through the world of birds and nature.
The coffee table book Visions: Earth's Elements in Bird and Nature Photography was released by Schiffer Publishing in July 2012. The author is Kevin T. Karlson, and the main contributing photographers are Kevin T. Karlson, Lloyd Spitalnik, and Scott Elowitz.

Buffet Dinner Catered by Napoli's Pasaria:

PRESENTATION:

Capturing Action in Nature: Beyond the Portrait
Keynote Presentation by George D. Lepp

Photography inspires people to look closely, stay longer, and to understand and explain the phenomena of the wilderness. Among the most satisfying rewards of wildlife photography is the opportunity to witness and capture the defining behavior and interactions of our wild subjects, and to share those stories-within-photographs with others. In this program, George Lepp will illustrate cutting-edge techniques for still photography of wild birds and other natural subjects that convey their spirits and grace in action.
